Last night (March 3, 2010) I was able to get first light on my Celestron Edge HD C8. The main reason I got his scope was for the claims that it would produce a very flat field even using a large format CCD. Well to my releif all that marketing that sucked me in was not all hype. It really does produce round stars to the edge of my chip (QHY8).

Keep in mind I have not collimated the scope yet and I was imaging in very windy conditions so the guiding could have been better. I'm looking forward to a real test using much longer exposures and darker skies, but I'm pleased with the first light results.
